FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, particularly to dentistry, namely to maxillofacial prosthetics, and is intended for use in making complete removable post-resection prostheses. An arbitrary anatomical impression is taken from the upper jaw with opening the defect edges, the model is cast, and the oral cavity is separated from the nasal cavity. After casting the model, an individual tray is made from basic plastic by hot polymerisation. An individual tray is fitted using Herbst functional tests. An individual tray is edged from the inner side and around the defect with a thermoplastic mass heated to 50-55 degrees in the form of a two-millimetre diameter bundle, creating two closing valves – internal and external, chilled individual tray is cooled, a corrective impression mass is applied and a functionally suction impression is obtained from the upper jaw with a half-open mouth with repetition of Herbst functional tests.
EFFECT: by creating two closing valves along the inner edge of the individual tray and around the jaw defect when taking the functional suction impression from the upper jaw, it enables fixation and stabilization of the complete removable post-resection prosthesis.
