FIELD: inorganic chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to inorganic chemistry and can be used in making light converters, LED displays, field emission displays, as well as plasma panels. Reaction mixture is prepared by preliminary mechanical mixing in a ball mill for 60 minutes of powders of calcium oxide or carbonate, dysprosium (III) oxide, titanium (IV) oxide, titanium metal and sodium perchlorate, taken in stoichiometric ratios. Then, the process of exothermic interaction of its components is carried out in the mode of self-propagating high-temperature synthesis in an open-type reactor at atmospheric pressure in air. Obtained luminophore emits in the blue and yellow spectral regions and has the composition CaTiO3:Dy3+.
EFFECT: invention makes it possible to simplify the process and reduce the synthesis time of this luminophore due to use of simple equipment and absence of external heat supply for carrying out the reaction.
