FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to paediatrics, endocrinology, medical rehabilitation, and can be used to determine intensity of physical activity in adolescents with obesity, at which maximum effective fat burning is achieved. Heart rate range corresponding to the maximum rate of fat oxidation (HRfor) is determined. When conducting stepped, continuously increasing bicycle ergometric testing with gas analysis by indirect respiratory calorimetry according to the protocol, which includes warm-up with load power of 0 W and pedalling speed of 60-80 rpm. Then stepwise increase of load follows. Load is increased from 30 W with step of 20 W with duration of each step of 3 minutes until the respiratory coefficient value is >0.95. Further, the fat oxidation rate is calculated based on the data on the volumes of consumed oxygen and released carbon dioxide, obtained at the last minute of each of the testing steps. Maximum obtained value is then determined by the average heart rate (HRfor) achieved at the last minute of the load stage. Further, the intensity of physical activity in adolescents with obesity is selected so that the heart rate is in the range of HRfor ± 10%.
EFFECT: method provides the possibility of individual selection of the intensity of physical activity during physical training in adolescents from 12 to 18 years old with obesity by determining the pulse zone in which the maximum cutting fluid is achieved.
