FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to paediatrics, and can be used to optimize feeding of premature infants with bronchopulmonary dysplasia (BPD). A fat component – medium-chain triglycerides in amount of 2.1 ml a day is added to the ration of children receiving expressed breast milk with a breast milk enrichment agent, evenly distributed for all feedings. Fat component containing 8.19 kcal per 1 ml is introduced starting from 0.1-0.2 ml 3 times day to 0.3 ml 7 times a day, which is 2.1 ml/day, fat content in the daily diet increases by 1.9 g, and its caloric content – by 17.2 kcal.
EFFECT: method promotes preservation of breastfeeding of premature infants with BPD, which were not applied to mother’s breast for medical reasons, and allows to increase caloric content of ration in case of their feeding with expressed breast milk due to combination of methods of the declared invention.
