FIELD: electric elements.
SUBSTANCE: device relates to sources of excitation of pulsed lasers and brightness amplifiers based on transitions of metal atoms. Generator contains n modules, each module consists of a set of parallel-series connected storage capacitors and four transistors with a liquid cooling system. Transistors are arranged on the printed-circuit board of the module evenly around a toroidal single-turn transformer with a primary winding from a copper foil layer arranged on the printed-circuit board, the window of which coincides with a round cutout in the printed-circuit boards of all modules of the switch, through which a turn or turns of the secondary winding passes. Storage capacitors are located on the reverse side of the printed circuit board under the toroidal transformer. All modules of the switch are located on one axis, which coincides with the axis of rotation of the round cutout in the printed circuit board and with the axis of rotation of the toroidal transformer. Turn or turns of the secondary winding pass along the axis through all modules of the switch.
EFFECT: generation of excitation pulses of active media on self-limited transitions of metals in a wide range of maximum amplitude of output voltage and maximum output average power.
