FIELD: nuclear physics.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method for determining actinium-227 in a preparation containing radium-223, and can be used in radiopharmaceutical industry for radiochemical analysis of preparations. Method is based on application of methods of beta-radiometry or gamma-spectrometry, carried out after separation of actinium-227 from radium-223. Separation of actinium-227 from radium-223 is carried out by ascending paper chromatography using sodium chloride solution with pH>7 as a mobile phase.
EFFECT: high rate of determining activity of actinium-227 in a solution while substantially reducing the number of operations for separating actinium-227 and radium-223 and avoiding the need to use toxic reagents.
