SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to ophthalmology. First stage involves administering a VEGF inhibitor in the presence of iris neovascularisation or an anterior chamber angle with underlying diabetic or post-thrombotic macular oedema by injecting a flat portion of the ciliary body at 3.5-4.0 mm from the limb through a two-stage self-sealing sclera puncture into the vitreous body. After 2 weeks, the intraocular pressure value is determined, and if its elevated values are detected, the second stage of treatment – transscleral cyclocoagulation of the ciliary body in a continuous wave mode with energy of 1500-2000 mW and exposure of 2 s – is performed. Before trans-scleral cyclocoagulation, on the cornea applied is Viscoelastic or Sol. Dexpanthenoli 5%, transscleral cyclocoagulation in continuous wave mode is performed at 2, 4, 8 and 10 o’clock. Then in micropulse mode in other quadrants from 10 h 30 min to 1 h 30 min and from 4 h 30 min to 7 h 30 min with energy of 2000-2500 mW and total exposure of 120 s with exception of 3 and 9 o’clock.

EFFECT: method provides more stable and pronounced reduction of intraocular pressure and has a lower risk of complications.
