FIELD: medicine; ophthalmology.
SUBSTANCE: glaucoma is treated using transscleral cyclophotocoagulation in a micropulse mode, during which retrobulbar anesthesia is performed, after which, using the “АЛОД-01” laser unit, cyclophotocoagulation is carried out in a continuous micropulse mode in the lower and upper half of the eyeball, with the exception of the 3 and 9 o'clock meridians, areas of previous hypotensive operations and scars. Cyclophotocoagulation is carried out 2.5–3.5 mm from the limbus, with the exposure per cycle being 40–60 s, the radiation power is 2.0 W, the micropulse duration is 500 mcs, and the duty cycle is 29%, the total energy is not less than 80 –100 J.
EFFECT: achievement of a hypotensive effect in the treatment of various forms of primary and secondary glaucoma, including refractory course.
