SUBSTANCE: invention relates to computer engineering. Technical result is achieved due to a method of applying a ring code for electronic seals or digital seals, where the content corresponding to an electronic document containing an electronic seal or a digital seal is recorded in a ring code, wherein content of different electronic documents corresponds to different ring codes, and the ring code comprises a ring encryption region and an anti-counterfeit code which is used to fill the ring encryption region, wherein the ring code comprises a ring code from one encrypted graphic image, or a mixed code consisting of a combination of two or more encrypted graphic images, or an identifiable anti-counterfeit code in the form of any other encrypted graphic image.
EFFECT: high degree of counterfeit protection.
