SUBSTANCE: invention relates to electrical engineering, namely to remote control (monitoring) of electric power facilities, and is intended to obtain data on the state of power transmission lines, preliminary processing of the obtained data and transmission thereof to the information collection point of the power system. Said technical result is achieved using a device for location monitoring of technical condition of power transmission lines installed on phase conductor (1) of a power transmission line, between two towers of the line, and connected to a server. Device comprises sealed housing (2) with a microprocessor, reflectometer (3), a transceiver and a power supply unit placed in its cavity. Reflectometer (3) generates probing pulse signals and receives signals which are generated after the probing pulse signal is supplied to phase wire (1). Based on signals from reflectometer (3), the microprocessor forms a reflectogram, in which it records signals reflected from irregularities along the length of the power transmission line, and a signal reflected from the end of the power transmission line. Transceiver is intended for communication with a server via a radio channel. All electronic circuits of the device are powered by a power supply unit. Reflectometer (3) is connected by its first high-frequency output to the phase wire of overhead power transmission line (1), by its second high-frequency output is connected to beginning of communication line (4), opposite end of communication line (4) is connected to one output of load resistance (5), the second output of load resistance (5) is connected to the phase wire of overhead power transmission line (1). Communication line (4) is located along the phase conductor of overhead power transmission line (1), at distance (6) from the phase conductor of overhead power transmission line (1). Device has client and server software installed in the device microprocessor. Client software is configured to transmit reflectograms to the server and receive control commands from the server. On phase conductor (1), between the points of connection of reflectometer (3) and load resistance (5) to phase conductor (1), there is unit (11) of one or more high-frequency cores closed around phase conductor (1). Power supply unit (9) is connected to winding (12) wound around all high-frequency cores of unit (11).
EFFECT: high information content of the device, namely monitoring of the state of wires along the entire length of the power transmission line.
