FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to ophthalmology, and can be used to measure dislocation of an eyeball in an orbit in a vertical direction. For this purpose, a mark is applied on the movable base of the slit lamp (SL). Horizontal light slit of the minimum width of the SL is set in the region of the lower limb of the eye. Distance is measured from the fixed base of the slit lamp, fixed in the tabletop, to the upper border of the applied mark, first on the healthy side, and then on the affected side. Magnitude of the dislocation is determined from the difference in the position of the lower border of the eye limb of the healthy and involved orbits.
EFFECT: invention provides higher measurement accuracy with simultaneous simplification of the measurement method when the eyeball is located in the orbit in the vertical direction.
