FIELD: cryogenic equipment.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to cryogenics and can be used for production of cryogenic vessels. Cryogenic vessel is hardened by cold hardening by increasing pressure in finished vessel. Vessel is placed in a horizontal position and a liquid supply line is connected to the nozzle. Reservoir breathing line is connected to the pipeline for filling the vessel with liquid. Vessel is filled until the liquid overflows from the breathing line and kept until complete air release from the liquid. Then, vessel pressure is smoothly increased to operating pressure and, then, to design pressure. Then pressure in vessel is brought to test pressure, vessel is stopped and maintained under pressure. Pressure is smoothly increased to hardening pressure. Then, geometric changes of vessel shape are controlled in equal time intervals. After deformation rate is 0.08 to 0.12% of initial length of vessel circumference in min, vessel is held under pressure.
EFFECT: reduced thickness of vessel wall with preservation of its strength.
