FIELD: performing operations.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method for sorption extraction of an end component from an initial solution in a top-down direction, including from natural brines and water, process solutions and waste water from different processes. Sorption extraction of target component from initial solution includes stage of sorption in downward direction, including passing of initial solution through sorbent for extraction of target component, stage of specified sorbent washing, stage of desorption, stage of displacement. Liquid having density in range of 0.9-1.3 of the density of the initial solution at the sorption step is fed to the displacement step. Liquid fed to the displacement step is passed through the sorbent in an upward direction.
EFFECT: method provides high extraction of target component from initial solution during top-down sorption at high speeds (more than 8-10 m/h), which are used in industrial columns of large sizes, as well as longer effective operation of sorbent (increased service life of sorbent).
