FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to granular sorbents based on polymer binder and a chlorine-containing form of a double hydroxide of aluminium and lithium, which can be used for selective extraction of lithium from lithium-containing solutions, and a method of producing said sorbents. Granular sorbent for extracting lithium from a solution contains particles of a chlorine-containing form of double hydroxide of aluminium and lithium and polyvinylformal as binder. Methods of producing granular sorbent are based on mixing particles of chlorine-containing form of double hydroxide of aluminium and lithium with polyvinylformal in dimethylformamide.
EFFECT: obtaining a strong and efficient sorbent for extracting lithium.
