SUBSTANCE: invention relates to analytical chemistry and specifically to a method for monitoring analytical measurements, a mobile device, and a system for monitoring analytical measurements. Method for determining concentration of analyte in body fluid involves using a mobile device having a chamber, wherein the method comprises capturing at least one image of at least a portion of the optical test strip having a test field using a camera, and wherein the method further includes determining at least one analyte concentration value by forming the colour of the test field, wherein the method includes: i) providing, in a mobile device, at least one correlation for converting the formation of the colour of the test field into an analyte concentration value, wherein the term correlation refers to a predetermined or determined relationship between information obtained from at least one image and at least one concentration value of the analytical measurement; ii) providing at least one admission information element in the mobile device, wherein the at least one admission information element indicates a confidence level for correlation, wherein the tolerance information item is an information item which quantitatively determines the level of reliability for correlation; and iii) if the admission information item indicates a sufficient level of reliability for correlation, providing the mobile device with an indication to the user that capturing at least one image does not require the use of a reference colour map.
EFFECT: providing user-friendly mobile determination of analyte concentration in body fluid with high accuracy and reproducibility with low adjustment and preparation efforts.
