SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method for assessing the quality of a reference colour map and a method for determining concentration of an analyte in a physiological fluid. Method of assessing the quality of a reference colour map (110), wherein the reference colour map (110) comprises a plurality of reference colour fields (112) having known reference colour values, the method comprising the following steps: i. capturing at least one image of at least a portion of the reference colour map (110) using at least one camera (130) of at least one mobile device (128); ii. determining measured values of reference colours for at least some of fields (112) of reference colours from the image; iii. determining a relationship between at least some measured values of reference colours and corresponding known values of reference colours; and iv. obtaining at least one element of quality information relative to the quality of the reference colour map (110) by using the relationship determined at step iii. Invention also discloses a method for determining concentration of an analyte in a physiological fluid, mobile device (128), kit (126), a computer program and a computer-readable data medium.
