SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of electric power engineering and can be used for electric equipment of traction substations of railway transport power supply systems. Traction substation equipment monitoring, protection, control and diagnostics system allows to provide processing of diagnostic information from intelligent electronic devices according to the specified algorithms, allowing to detect pre-failure conditions, generate a signal for input of standby equipment and withdrawal from operation of diagnosed equipment, transmitting said signal to the recording system and generating a command for controlling the switching equipment, which enables to prevent failure of the traction substation equipment and provide input of backup equipment to ensure reliable power supply.

EFFECT: improving operating reliability of equipment at construction of digital traction substations based on application of systems for monitoring, protection, control and diagnostics of equipment.
