FIELD: biotechnology; pharmaceutics.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to biotechnology and pharmaceutical industry and can be used to produce rosehip extract microcapsules. Method for microencapsulation of a rosehip extract, in which a rosehip extract is used as a core of microcapsules, and sodium alginate is used to form a shell, where 10 g of a dry soluble rosehip extract is dissolved in 10 ml of distilled water, after which the resulting solution is mixed with an equal amount of 4% sodium alginate solution, then slowly through dropper of device for microencapsulation of substances in liquid state from height of 10–15 cm is introduced into 200–300 ml of 0.2 M solution of calcium chloride with simultaneous mixing at rate of 30–40 rpm until the suspensions are formed, the formed microcapsules are separated using a Schott filter under vacuum, placing them in 0.4–0.5% solution of chitosan for 40–60 minutes, removing and drying at 30–35 °C, output of finished microcapsules 88.7%, size 1.8–2.4 mm.
EFFECT: declared invention provides preparing rosehip extract microcapsules with high values of valuable biological properties and higher safety of the microencapsulation process ensured by exclusion of toxic and inflammable substances.
