FIELD: biotechnology.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of biotechnology and veterinary medicine, and can be used for producing microcapsulated probiotic agents. Method for producing microcapsules of Vetom 1 probiotic consists in mixing Vetom 1 probiotic with purified water to a homogeneous state; mixing the resulting suspension of probiotic with an amount of 4% sodium alginate solution equal in volume; and dispersing the resulting mixture into a 0.2 M calcium chloride solution from a height of 20 to 25 cm using a dosing apparatus with 8 droppers, while constantly stirring at a 50 to 60 rpm speed of rotation of the mixer for 20 to 25 min. The resulting microcapsules are then separated by filtering and put in a 0.4 to 0.5% chitosan solution for 50 to 60 minutes, then separated on a Schott filter, washed and dried at 30 to 35°C.

EFFECT: production of Vetom 1 microcapsules with an 80 to 85% output of microcapsules with stable dimensions, resistant to the acidic gastric environment and breaking in the alkaline intestinal environment with the contents of the capsules (probiotic bacteria) entering the cavity thereof freely.
