FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used for chrome plating of long cylindrical solids of revolution. Plant includes base 1 made in the form of a frame structure, on which heads with spindles 6 and 7 and electrolytic bath 8 are installed on supports 4 and 5. One of supports 4 or 5 and electrolytic bath 8 are made with possibility of movement along base 1. In spindles 6 and 7 there are inserts to fix article 12 between them, which is a cathode, crimped current conductors, fixed relative to supports 4 and 5 and made in form of tightened to each other bronze-graphite sectors. Copper gaskets are installed between inserts and item 12. Article 12 is fixed between inserts by means of axial coupling bolts. Electrolytic bath 8 is equipped with carriage 9 configured to move along base 1 on rail track 2 using step motor 10 and rack-and-pinion gear 3. For power supply, power cabinet 21 is provided, it is arranged at carriage 9 or nearby the plant. Invention makes it possible to apply coatings on items of various sizes and provides higher quality of coatings due to their constant uniform thickness throughout the length of item 12.
EFFECT: reduction of electric power losses is provided due to reliable electric contact along end surfaces of tightened parts.
