SUBSTANCE: invention relates to electrical engineering, specifically to lighting control systems, and is intended for economical self-contained lighting of residential, public, industrial areas, roads, pedestrian crossings, including automobile and other transport infrastructure facilities. Claimed automatic lighting control system contains a group of luminaires, each of which is equipped with its own illuminator, located on their supports along the boundary of the illuminated area, each luminaire with an illuminator, from those included in the group, is connected by its structural network of control units, including an IP video camera, detection objects recognition and classification unit, unit for generating lighting control signals, signal repetition control unit, events trigger unit and wire or wireless (radio) channel interface module.

EFFECT: accelerated management decision making by the system in regard to regulation of light flux for each luminaire included into the system thus ensuring its energy efficiency.
