FIELD: high-voltage pulse-technique. SUBSTANCE: pulse shaper has generator and pulse converter, each built around single-row lines with distributed parameter; generator output is connected to converter input either directly or through matched transmission line; converter is built up of two lines having equal wave impedances and electric lengths of quarter the generator pulse length; one of lines is shorted out at output and other line is connected to load either through switch or directly; novelty is that unipolar pulse generator is employed and that inputs of converter homogeneous lines are connected in series and wave impedances of each of them equal half the output impedance of pulse generator. EFFECT: improved pulse power and reduced output pulse length.
