FIELD: TV engineering. SUBSTANCE: indicator has photoelectric converter 1, videoamplifier 2, clock pulse generator, 3, address counter 4, reference signal former 5, decoder 6, channel commutator 7, analog-to-digital converter 8, multiplier 9, contrast meter 10, scale matching unit 11 and channels 12 and 13 for measuring coordinates X and Y. Indicator operates in tracking mode when image of an object is scanned by set local cruciform trajectory. At specified value of signal spot frequency the precision may be improved due to integrating properties of deflecting system of converter 1, as a result scanning aperture moves continuously. When discrimination characteristic is limited the fluctuation components of measurement error are eliminated; these errors may cause break in tracking before preset time.
