FIELD: metallurgy. SUBSTANCE: when transmitting the torque and turning the segmental inserts 4 to some angle conditioned by elastic deformation of shoulders 8 and sleeve 6, alignment of the yoke 2 and roll 1 is attained due to spreading of sleeve 6 from the inside by shoulders 8 of inserts 4 and squeezing of roll shank 1 from the outside by flat surfaces of inserts 4. Elastic turning of inserts 4 in cylindrical recesses of yoke 2 also leads to some turning of shank of roll 1 relatively yoke 2 along cylindrical mounting surfaces of their conjugation resulting in elimination of possible skewness of roll relatively yoke. Dynamic loads in transmission of the rolls drive and working stand decrease due to preliminary squeezing and taking up of the clearances along the mounting surfaces of shank 1 and yoke 2. EFFECT: enhanced capacity of the rolling mill and quality of rolled metal. 2 dwg
