FIELD: metallurgy. SUBSTANCE: torque is transmitted from the spindle to the shank of the roll 1 by means of joint part 3 and coupling part 2 having segmental inserts 5 arranged in recesses eccentric to the holes for shank 1 of the roll. Separating partition 4 is positioned between the coupling 2 and joint 3 parts. Circular shoulders 6 are made on the faces of segmental inserts. The shoulders are conjugated with correspondent grooves made on separating partition 4 and cover 8. Limiters restricting turning of inserts 5 are installed in the circular recesses of the cover 8 and made in form of stops 9. Value of the chamfer in the blade of roll is more than projection "a" of the arch of turning of rib of insert 5 on the axis connecting centers 01 and 02. This allows uniform clamping of the roll shank to be ensured in the coupling part, centering of roll and spindle to be improved, radial run-out of the joint to be reduced.
