SUBSTANCE: method involves administering luminescent substances of porphyric series to animals having a tumor induced by chemical agents, irradiating malignant and healthy tissues with laser, observing luminescence and calculating the coefficient of the degree of contrast from the ratio of luminescence coefficients of malignant and healthy tissues. Ytterbium complex of water soluble porphyrines are useable as the luminescent substances. Luminescence registration is to be carried out in the range of 900-1050 nm. EFFECT: enhanced accuracy of examination due to the values of the contrast coefficient being increased up to 10-48. 1 tbl, 1 dwg
