FIELD: electron-ion technological equipment. SUBSTANCE: pulse ion accelerator may be used as generator of ions of solid substances for machining of surfaces of articles to enhance their corrosion resistance, to increase hardness and create decorative coats, to push up wear resistance of cutting tools employed in various branches of technology. It has gaseous-discharge chamber with storage of working substance, ion formation and acceleration system one electrode of which is fabricated in the form of cylindrical spiral and generator of supply pulses. Gaseous-discharge chamber is manufactured in the form of conical spiral 1 that is storage of working substance. Conical spiral is connected with its ends to generator 4 of supply pulses, its external turn is connected to turn of cylindrical spiral 2 facing it. Conical spiral is placed into conical ferromagnetic screen 3. EFFECT: enhanced corrosion and wear resistance of machined surfaces. 1 dwg
