FIELD: food industry. SUBSTANCE: electromechanical device for treating chocolate masses has a vertical vessel divided into preliminary and final mass grinding zones and filled with balls made of ferromagnetic material. The preliminary grinding zone is defined by the vessel housing and hollow rotor and final grinding zone is defined by a rotor and inner electric magnet disposed along the central axis of the vessel. The two zones communicate with each other through a grid of nonferromagnetic material disposed at the upper rotor end-face and through outer coupling tube. The electromagnetic device furthermore has a discharge branch pipe disposed in the upper portion of the final grinding zone, balls of a larger diameter being located in the preliminary grinding zone. The housing, hollow rotor and inner electric magnet are made in the form of similar prisms fabricated of ferromagnetic material. The electromechanical device is provided with two current windings disposed in the slots of the vessel housing and inner electric magnet in their middle portions and coupled to a DC power supply source.
