FIELD: mechanical engineering, in particular rebuilding of thin-walled trimetal bearing inserts having worn seat-in coating and partially worn main antifriction alloy layer. SUBSTANCE: method involves applying copper galvanic coating with addition of 8-20% of tin to obtain thickness determined by formula (Δ-tc)<t≅ 0,15 mm, where Δ is insert wear rate; tc is initial thickness of seat-in coating; effectuating working of joint surfaces of inserts; finish grinding of inner working surface and applying seat-in coating of predetermined thickness. EFFECT: increased efficiency and high quality of rebuilding parts. 4 dwg
