FIELD: laser-based surfacing of tools and parts. SUBSTANCE: powders of high-speed steel with carbide and intermetallic hardening are melt by a laser beam and fed layer by layer to the zone of surfacing. After building up a 0.15 mm thick layer, the part is consecutively annealed, hardened and tempered to further increase the thickness of layer by 50-100 percent. The process of annealing starts as soon as the austenitic grain reaches the value of 10-11. EFFECT: higher efficiency and reliability. 3 cl, 1 dwg, 2 tbl
