FIELD: production of ceramic materials based on refractory oxides; applicable in refractory industry, metallurgy, power engineering, chemistry, mechanical engineering, radioelectronics and medicine for manufacture of products of diverse application. SUBSTANCE: method for production of ceramic material based on a-aluminum oxide includes molding of intermediate product from powder of aluminum nitride and their subsequent firing in oxygen-containing atmosphere at temperature of up to 1800 C up to stopping of volume change of fired intermediate products. Simplified method for production of ceramic material, improved ecological conditions in its production, and produced corundum ceramics features, thermally stable fine-grain single- shape material based on a-aluminum oxide.
