ALLERGEN FOR DIAGNOSING TUBERCULOSIS AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING SAME Russian patent published in 1995 - IPC

FIELD: veterinary immunology, biology and allergic diagnosis of tuberculosis. SUBSTANCE: this allergen designed for diagnosing tuberculosis is endoprotein extracted from cultural filter of Mycobacterium boris strain No. 8 having molecular mass between 15 and 100 kDa and allergic test activity of 50000 +/- 10000 ME/ml. This medicinal preparation is manufactured by method of ultrafiltration. For this purpose, tuberculosis pathogen cultural filtrate grown on synthetic nutrient medium and inactivated by heating is allowed to pass through filtering membranes having retentivity of 100 kDa. Resultant permeate is concentrated on membranes having retentivity of 15 kDa and then normalized according to percentage of ME, sodium chloride and phenol in 1 ml of solution. EFFECT: this method of manufacturing "UF-tuberculin" includes two times less steps as compared known method of manufacturing medicine by precipitating protein by dehydratants; processing cycle is run according to closed-circuit pattern and ecologically safe. 2 cl, 2 dwg
