FIELD: medicine, pharmacology. SUBSTANCE: one soluble, biologically active compound is mixed with one osmotically active substance, such as xantose, fructose, dextrose, saccharose, liannitol, NaCl, KCl, K2SO4, mono-, di-, trisodium phosphate or mixture thereof, and with at least one swellable polymeric adjuvant or normally usable adjuvant. Mixture is used to form core which is coated by film-forming agent, followed by coat of soluble hydrophitic or hydrophobic plasticizer. In terms of its therapeutic efficiency, composition is comparable to intravenous drop infusion systems, it ensures uniform and complete release of active principle from pharmaceutical preparations during entire physiologically and therapeutically required period, thereby maintaining at constant level active principle content in blood, guaranteeing sustained effect of preparations, absence of negative side effects and simultaneous improvement of local tolerance to preparation in gastrointestinal tract. EFFECT: required rate of release of active substances can be rapidly achieved.
