FIELD: mechanical engineering, diesel engines; cleaning exhaust gases from harmful components and soot. SUBSTANCE: converter has housing with inlet and outlet branch pipes, heat insulation placed between housing walls, reaction chamber in inner space of which the following members are installed in tandem in direction of gas flow porous ceramet filter with swirler fitted on outer surface, plate compensators and porous ceramet unit. Unit is made up of separate ceramet porous cylindrical members with concentric inclined rings forming segment slots between central-arm partitions made in form of blades with variable turning pitch. Alternate unit members are oriented by different planes relative to gas flow. EFFECT: improved quality of cleaning. 3 dwg
