FIELD: elementary particle accelerators. SUBSTANCE: a drift tube is installed over the entire length of the accelerating tube body coaxially with a gap; the drift tube is made of material with a high thermal conductivity and has through non-linear ducts between its internal and external surfaces. A coating with a low sorption capacity may be applied onto the internal and external surfaces and surface of the drift tube duct. The drift tube is made of aluminium or copper. The drift tube holders are made of material with a thermal conductivity equal to that of the drift tube material. EFFECT: reduced number of collisions of accelerated beam of particles with molecules of residual gas. 4 cl, 1 dwg
