FIELD: geophysical studies by methods of formation of electromagnetic field. SUBSTANCE: examined medium is excited by input of electric current into the ground with the use of feeding electrodes. One of electrodes is grounded in central part of circumference formed by other electrodes grounded uniformly. Current to the latter is fed from central part of circumference by means of beam cuts arranged by radii of circumference in even angles and of additional cuts of supply line. Additional cuts have same length multiple of distance over straight line or arc between adjacent electrodes. The latter are so grounded over circumference that assemblage of additional cuts of supply line forms loop. Parameters of radial electric and vertical magnetic components of electromagnetic field are measured simultaneously. Properties of examined medium are evaluated by beam data. EFFECT: improved efficiency and authenticity of proposed method. 2 dwg
