FIELD: power engineering and coal gasification. SUBSTANCE: invention is aimed at producing high-quality synthesis gas from low-grade coal. To enhance process efficiency, as gasifying agent, smoke fumes are used, separated streams of coal mixture and smoke fumes being uniformly fed across reactor chamber cross-section. In each cross-section, coal mixture and smoke fumes intake to cross- section area ratios are maintained constant and melt flowing down reactor wall is prevented. In plasma reactor, reagent-supply connection pipes 4 are made in the form of concentric channels positioned in reactor cover, each channel being provided with vertical tube 5 to load coal and tangential connection pipe 6 to introduce smoke fumes. Annular deepening 8 with height equal to that of electromagnet coil 2 is made on the reactor wall 7. EFFECT: enhanced efficiency of gasification process. 2 cl, 1 dwg
