FIELD: medicine, pharmacology. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the unknown complex of arginine and hyaluronic acid that shows capability to decrease blood cholesterol in warm-blooded animals. Method of preparing the indicated complex involves heating the suspension of 1 mas. p. arginine and 2-4 mas. p. hyaluronic acid in 40-50 mas. p. water at 80-90 C for 1-2 h. Solution is cooled to 4-6 C, ethanol (4-6 volumes) is added, precipitate is removed, washed many times with ethanol and dried in the air. After a single administration of this complex at low doses in blood stream of animals the content of blood cholesterol is decreased for a long time.
