FIELD: preparation of catalyst used to clean gas mixtures from carbon oxide in systems of collective and individual protection of breathing organs. SUBSTANCE: process includes electrolysis of solution containing manganese sulfide and free sulfuric acid. On termination of electrolysis electrolyte with residue of manganese dioxide is subjected to thermal treatment at temperature 50-95 C in the course of 0.5-5.0 h with agitation.
