FIELD: mechanical engineering. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to methods of manufacture of bimetallic blanks of cylinder blocks by application of antifriction material onto inner working surface of channels by friction surfacing. Pin is used as rotating part. Pin is set into rotation and blank is moved along axis of pin which is driven into channel and is pressed to end face of insert. Then antifriction insert is heated and pin is driven in at constant speed into channel until it comes out into clearance between channel and pin.
