FIELD: motor road maintenance equipment. SUBSTANCE: according to method and device, 100% of microwave energy of source is used for heating of road pavement. Surface of road pavement is subjected to microwave radiation and its plane of polarization is parallel to plane of its contact to boundary of air-to-surface at angle of incidence according to Brewster's law. Device for realization of method has microwave oscillator, emitter connected with oscillator, receiving antenna, detector, and indicator. Receiving antenna with indicator allows for determining angle to Brewster's law for any kind of road pavement. EFFECT: high efficiency. 2 cl, 2 dwg
