FIELD: instrumentation engineering, precision machine manufacturing. SUBSTANCE: object is illuminated and radiation reflected from object is sent correspondingly via transmitting and receiving light guides which end faces are interjoined with the use of optically transparent body which surface is similar to that of tested object and is inverse to it. Spectral light filters which spectral ranges of transmission differ are placed on each of these two directions for illumination of object. Test of form of object is carried out with the aid of radiation which optical frequency corresponds to transmission range of corresponding spectral light filter. Spectral light filters can be placed on surface of optically transparent body. EFFECT: enhanced authenticity of method. 3 cl, 1 dwg
