FIELD: control of temperature of superheated steam in steam generators. SUBSTANCE: injection cooler has housing including head 2 with inlet hole 4 for water and nozzle insertion tube 3 fitted with nozzle head 6 with chamber 7. Nozzles 8 are mounted in this chamber. Arranged in cooling water hollow cylindrical pipe line 9 on inner side of housing in zone located between water inlet hole 4 and nozzles 8 is movable piston rod 10 located coaxially and provided with piston 11 on side of nozzles. This piston opens or closes nozzles (depending on its position), thus controlling the flow rate of cooling water. When piston 11 is in position of closing, it fully seals up nozzle chamber 7 and when it is position of opening, it opens all nozzles 8. At least one axial throttling body 12 is provided between water inlet hole 4 and nozzles 8 on piston rod 10. Throttling section of body 12 changes continuously in axial direction; in position of closing of piston rod 10, it closes passage area and in position of opening, it opens maximum circular throttling section.
