FIELD: metallurgy, particularly, continuous casting of metal with its deformation. SUBSTANCE: the first pair of working walls of built-up mold is made with working surface upper part and vertical lower part expanded at some angle to vertical for execution in the course of operation of rotary motion, and the second pair of working walls is capable of reciprocation. Longitudinal cylindrical tracks with radius R in device are brought to form in cross-section of segment with depth H and made only in removable cover plates installed on internal surfaces of walls of the first pair. The first pair of walls of mold with removable cover plate is made with upper part of working surface expanded at an angle of 12-30 deg to vertical. Height H1 of upper part of working surface of removable cover plate expanded at an angle to vertical relates to Ho of upper part of working surface of walls of the first pair expanded at an angle to vertical as H1/Ho= 0.3-0.5. Radius R of longitudinal tracks and number n of tracks relates to width b of walls of the first pair as 2R. n/b= 0.6-0.85. EFFECT: highly efficient process of continuous casting of deformed cylindrical castings due to higher operating reliability of device and productivity of process with increased strength of deformed cylindrical castings. 2 cl, 2 dwg
