FIELD: metallurgy. SUBSTANCE: method consists in smelting charge and casting smelt into copper mold in which smelting is carried out in bowls made of zirconium and yttrium oxide mixture in inert gas (e.g. argon) atmosphere reduced to 1-60 mm Hg, whereupon smelt is overheated 50-100 C higher than melting temperature and kept at that temperature for 1-3 min, smelt being poured into mold at the same inert gas pressure and the same smelt temperature. EFFECT: enhanced efficiency of process.
