FIELD: mechanical engineering; brazing of steel-bronze articles provided with stiffening ribs. SUBSTANCE: method comes to fitting up articles with application of copper-silver solder, heating to brazing temperature with gradually raising the pressure. Prior to brazing, article is exposed to isothermal holding at temperature 5-10 C lower than solder melting temperature at pressure not exceeding bronze yielding point to provide tight contact between surfaces to be connected. During holding at brazing temperature, pressure is reduced, and in process of cooling from brazing temperature to joint crystallization temperature, pressure is again raised. EFFECT: improved quality of joint.
