FIELD: nondestructive test of well pump booms used in mechanized oil production by magneto-induction method. SUBSTANCE: given plant includes stretching machine having power hydrocylinder with rod, power transducer and nonferromagnetic grippers of head of boom mounted on foundation. Mechanism advancing boom into grippers is manufactured in the form of two channels installed in supports in parallel to foundation. Mount carrying weight sensor is mounted between smooth surfaces of channels facing one another for turn in horizontal plane. Flaw detector and mobile carriage with pusher are mounted on lower flanges of channels in guides for translation. Carriage is made fast to rod of power hydrocylinder and to mobile gripper. Immobile gripper is attached to support on foundation. Grippers have three smoothly conjugate U-shaped depressions to accommodate correspondingly body, head and coupling of boom. Plant also includes loading mechanism in the form of pulsating conveyers to store, transport and feed automatically boom into mechanism advancing it into grippers and unloading mechanism to carry booms after flaw detection from grippers into accumulators. Plant is equipped with sensor of boom position, two sensors of position of heads of booms in grippers and two sensors of position of butt of threaded part of heads in grippers. Such design of plant makes it possible to ensure laying of only one boom by mechanized method into grippers of stretching machine, to select automatically needed value of loading of boom depending on its weight, to carry automatically out loading process and subsequently flaw detection of boom and to unload boom from grippers excluding manual labour completely.
