FIELD: metallurgy. SUBSTANCE: apparatus has frame, cutting mechanism with cutters, cutter biasing cylinder, combustion chamber with gas supplying branch pipes, gaseous mixture ignition system and ingot cutting automatic control system. Frame has two crystallizer walls with inclined upper part positioned for rotation and pressing of metal, and two vertical crystallizer walls positioned for reciprocation. Incision and cutting of ingot are conducted by commands delivered at crystallizer output upon bringing of walls into contact one with another during pressing and ejection of metal from crystallizer. EFFECT: increased efficiency in producing measured billets, reduced usage of material and enhanced reliability in operation. 1 dwg
