FIELD: metallurgy. SUBSTANCE: dummy bar has tail and head parts comprised of movable plates. Installed on plate exterior are cover plates of metal possessing the property of resistance to plastic deformation in cold state lower than the plate metal. Installed between plates from internal sides are springs. Mold has two vertical walls capable of reciprocation, and two walls inclined in the upper part are made for rotary motion. Angle of inclination of plates to vertical in head part of dummy bar is adjusted by spring compression. Head parts of dummy part is also made of plates with cover plates for turning during deformation toward the interior of dummy bar and filling with layer of crushed graphite.
