FIELD: determination of biologically active substances interacting with line double-chain molecules of DNA and registration of circular dichroism. SUBSTANCE: process includes mixing of analyzed liquid containing biologically active substance with polymer neutral to DNA under conditions which do not disrupt optical properties of lyotrophic liquid-crystal dispersion of DNA. Then lyotrophic liquid-crystal cholesteric dispersion of DNA is formed from double-chain molecules of DNA of low molecular mass in water and salt solution of mentioned polymer immediately prior to mixing with analyzed liquid Solution of analyzed sample in polymer is mixed with solution of DNA in polymer. Circularly polarized radiation is let pass through obtained solution. Optical signal is recorded on two lengths of waves one of which lies within absorption band of DNA and the other one-within absorption band of biologically active substance. Concentration of biologically active substance is evaluated by value of ratio of obtained signals. Device for implementation of process presents dichrograph which selector forming radiation of certain wave length has minimal number of optical elements for provision of maximal luminous flux. Selector includes electrodynamic drive of position type that ensures possibility of establishment of two lengths of waves used to conduct measurements.
